Redispersible powders

DCC

Dairen Chemical Corporation (DCC) is a joint venture of Chang Chun Group (Chang Chun Petrochemical i Chang Chun Plastics) and Nan Pao Resins, established in 1979. Its main purpose is to manufacture and supply vinyl acetate monomer (VAM), a basic material needed to produce PVA and PVAC in its mother companies. The first VAM plant with the annual production capacity of 85.000 mT was licensed by Bayer AG (Germany).

Redispersible polymer emulsion powder (also known as RDP or RPD) – namely ethylene vinyl acetate, is a white, readily water-soluble powder that generates a stable emulsion. It is easy to use and to store, and mixes effortlessly with other dry products such as cement, sand or gypsum. RDP considerably enhances adhesion, tensile strength, abrasion resistance and workability of the final formulation.

Basic applications of RPD (based on cement or gypsum):

  • Tile adhesives
  • Thermal Insulation System Adhesives (ETICS – for styrofoam, rockwool, mesh)
  • Mortars
  • Plasters
  • Self-leveling compounds
